Alexander Schaefer is a Canadian lawyer with a background in family law and a focus on complex tax and corporate reorganization and transactional matters. Alex earned his law degree (J.D.) from Windsor Law School, where he distinguished himself by graduating in the top 20% of his class.

After completing his legal education, Alex continued his legal career by articling at a mid-size firm in downtown Toronto, where he specialized in family law. His early career experiences equipped him with a solid foundation in navigating the complexities of family law matters, demonstrating his commitment to helping individuals navigate challenging legal situations.

Continuing his dedication to family law, Alex further honed his expertise at a small family law firm in North York, Toronto. This period of practice allowed him to refine his skills and deepen his understanding of the intricacies involved in family law cases, fostering a reputation for diligence and client-focused advocacy.

Alex’s experience in Family Law exposed him to matters involving corporate law, tax law and other areas. Riding this experience, Alex joined Berger Law, where he focuses his practice mainly on complex tax and corporate transactional matters. Alex still deals with certain family law related matters such as marriage and separation agreements.

Alex is an active member of the legal community, participating in professional associations and staying abreast of developments in family law, tax law, and corporate law.

Beyond his legal pursuits, Alex is a sports enthusiast who finds enjoyment in watching the Colorado Avalanche and the Toronto Blue Jays.
